Who are these BlackBörk people?
According to an old legend, in the 1450s, Sultan Mehmed II, the 7th Sultan of the Ottoman Empire, decided to rest while passing through the Black Sea with his army and ordered a tent to be set up. While staying there, he noticed the black turbans worn by the local people. Turning to his vizier, he asked, "Who are those people wearing the Black-Börk turbans over there?" From that day on, the region became known as "KaraBörk" (Black-Börk) .
This is the story of our BlackBörk brand, which dates back to this legend from the 1450s.
